We love to measure!

My students are learning how to measure objects by using non-standard tools. We've also discussed how to measure weight by using a balance scale.  I would say that their favorite means of measurement would be capacity!

Journal Topic: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

My students did a wonderful job during our journal work time.  They were expected to write their explanation of how Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. helped people. Here are few samples of their responses. "He taught people how to care for one another." "Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. helped to change our laws."  "He taught people how to live peacefully together." Way to go kids!
